Download & unzip
Grab the extension below and unzip it somewhere it can stay (Chrome loads it from that folder).

Open chrome://extensions
Paste it into the address bar, then flip on Developer mode (top-right corner).

Load unpacked
Click “Load unpacked” and pick the unzipped folder. The JoinParty button appears next to the address bar.
How a party works

Host from any YouTube video — or Netflix title
Open it on youtube.com or netflix.com, click the JoinParty button and hit “Host a party”. You get a 6-letter room code.

Friends join with the code
Computers join through the extension. Phones just open joinparty.ca and join the same code — no install at all. (Netflix plays on computers; everyone uses their own Netflix account, and phones chat & react along.)
